The Bible tells us that growth occurs when believers gather together (Proverbs 27:17). Whether that gathering is a Bible Study, a potluck, or simply a conversation over a cup of coffee, discipleship can occur when individuals come together and fellowship. 

At State Street, discipleship is a central part of who we are as a church. We Glorify God by Growing in our faith, so we may be able to Go share the hope found in Christ with the world.

Generations Class

A multigenerational co-educational (couples and singles) that focuses on Biblical teachings. We fellowship with Bible study once a month. Our close knit group support each other and eagerly welcome others to our class.

The mission of the State Street Baptist College and Singles class is to create an environment with a sense of belonging and fellowship. While developing, strengthening, and encouraging their faith through discipleship that will grow them into mature believers, so that they are able to apply God's Word for the upcoming challenges in their lives and bring glory to God.

FLOCK Class

The FLOCK Class consists of adults of all ages, but primarily of individuals 45 and over. We teach from the Gospel Project, which walks us through God’s plan for redemption of His people through Jesus Christ from Genesis to Revelation. Our format includes strong Biblical study with great discussion mixed in.  Whether you’re quiet or vocal, you will fit in.

Special Creations

The Special Creations Sunday School Class is designed for special needs teenagers and adults who may not be comfortable attending a regular class.   The class features the latest in technology.  Members unable to attend all or part of the worship service can view the service on a wide-screen TV.  The class meets on the first floor of the educational building near the Welcome Center.  Class begins at 9:15 a.m. every Sunday.  The teachers of the class are parents of a special needs adult son.  The class is wheelchair accessible.

Children’s Classes

4&5 Year Olds

We learn about our Bible lesson with a mixture of arts and crafts, games, videos and other hands-on activities.  We usually have a snack and some fun play time as well. 

1st & 2nd Grade

We have fun learning about the Bible and creating real life connections that grows our love for God.

3rd-5th Grade

In September 2024 we began a 3 year  series of the Gospel Project-a chronological study of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. All the Bible points to Jesus as the one who rescues us from our sins. Our focus is helping children understand the Bible as it relates to Jesus and how to apply it in their everyday lives.
